How to request deletion
Send an email to support@nandanam.app from the email address registered on your account, with the subject line “Account deletion request”. We will verify the request and action it within 30 days.
Email us to request deletionThis opens a pre-filled email in your default mail app. If the button doesn’t work, simply email support@nandanam.app manually.
What gets deleted
When we process your deletion request, we permanently remove:
- Your account profile — name, email, password hash, profile photo.
- Optional personalisation data — date of birth, nakshatra, rashi, location and ishta-devata.
- All active sessions across web and mobile devices.
- Any temple submissions or content you uploaded that has not yet been published. (Published community contributions remain available, but are de-identified — no longer linked to your account.)
What we may keep
Some data may be retained even after deletion, but only where we are required or permitted to do so:
- Aggregated, de-identified analytics that cannot be traced back to you.
- Records we are legally required to keep (for example, to comply with tax, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution obligations).
See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Timeframe
Requests are actioned within 30 days. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
Verification
To protect your account, we ask that you send the request from the email address registered on your Nandanam account.
Just want to uninstall?
Uninstalling the Nandanam app from your phone removes all locally stored data on the device (your auth token, language preference and alarm settings), but does not delete your server-side account. Use the email request above if you also want your account removed from our servers.
